How it started
Rafay Studio began with one question: what did these places really look like? Ruins today are bleached by sun and stripped by rain, but the cities were painted, plastered and full of people. The studio started researching and scripting AI-rebuilt historical travel videos for the Travel With Nom Nom YouTube channel, where every video is researched, scripted and reconstructed by the studio.
Each project starts from the sources. We read primary accounts and archaeological reports, then turn them into a script and a scene-by-scene reconstruction brief that artists or AI image and video tools can follow. Reconstructions are illustrative interpretations of available evidence.
How we work
We use AI tools to read further and faster: summarising long sources, cross-checking dates and details, and turning research into precise scene descriptions. A person then verifies every claim against the sources before anything is delivered.
